My desire with Any Body Yoga is to share the many health benefits of yoga with those who don’t feel the traditional style of yoga is available to them. I do this by teaching very gentle styles of yoga such as Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Hatha Yoga, Yoga for Chronic Pain such as arthritis, fibromyalgiia or chronic low back pain.  These styles tend to be done in a class setting but are also available one on one or as part of Yoga Therapy sessions.

The classes are fun, interesting and very relaxing; harmonizing body, mind and spirit.

Yoga can be made accessible to most people regardless of body shape, size, age (sorry no children's classes available), people with mobility issues, balance issues, someone recovering from injuries, someone living with chronic pain or anyone who just feels too intimidated to try a regular style of yoga. It is wonderful for people with sciatica, MS, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Depression, Anxiety, paraplegics, amputees, etc. Yoga Therapy is suitable for most health issues or physical challenges.

Styles of Yoga

Hatha Yoga

The Hatha classes are done at a relaxed pace with an emphasis on finding ease in a pose but at the same time challenging oneself,  safe alignment, movement in unison with the breath, changing the pose to fit the body and finding joy in practice. 

Benefits: gain flexibility, strength, increased range of motion, body awareness, increased lung capacity, reduction of stress, integration of body, mind & spirit and many more.

Chair Yoga

Hatha Yoga is adapted for the chair or wheelchair and can be gentle enough for someone who cannot get onto the floor or do standing poses and challenging enough for someone who has no limitations but feels too intimidated to try a regular Hatha class. The focus in our chair class is to try and move as many joints and muscle groups as possible in a gentle and slow moving manner in time with the breath. Pranayama, imagery and guided meditation are also incorporated. Props (balls, weights, bolsters, blocks, etc.) are used to enhance the accessibility of a posture or to add variety and fun to the practice. The more advanced class also includes standing or supine/prone postures (always optional).

Benefits: Improves mobility, balance and coordination, increases joint range of motion, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, decreases stress (anxiety, depression) and insomnia.


This class starts with gentle stretches (10 - 15 minutes) and is followed by approximately four or five poses that are done with props (bolsters, blankets, blocks, eye pillows, etc.) to encourage deep relaxation. Breath work is practiced throughout the class. This class is suitable for anyone who needs a gentle restorative style of yoga due to injury or mobility issues or anyone who needs to relieve stress, anxiety or depression. The student should be able to get up and down from the floor.

Volupt-you Yoga

A class designed for the voluptuous body type- full figure female. Can help improve mobility, flexibility, balance and peace in mind, body and spirit.  Class will include gentle yoga poses, breath awareness, meditation and deep relaxation poses.  No experience necessary.  

Essential Low Back Program (ELBP):  

The ELBP is a seven-week preregistered program and includes a book and CD.

This program can help you take control of your back pain by giving you the tools to reduce your pain through proper alignment, movement combined with breath & education. Thus increasing longevity on the job and improved quality of life.
